VAT & Invoicing
All prices on the website exclude VAT. Whether VAT is added depends on where your company is based and whether it has a valid VAT ID.
We are a VAT-registered company in Poland (VAT ID PL5372686054), and we invoice every order in line with EU VAT rules. Catalogue prices are per piece and exclude VAT; the VAT treatment of your order is confirmed in the offer and on the invoice.
VAT treatment by customer location
| Your company | VAT on our invoice |
|---|---|
| Based in Poland | Polish VAT at the applicable rate |
| Based in another EU country, with a valid VAT ID | 0 % (intra-Community supply, reverse charge) |
| Based in another EU country, without a valid VAT ID | Polish VAT at the applicable rate |
| United Kingdom or Switzerland | No Polish VAT on exported goods; import VAT and duties apply in the destination country |
Reverse charge for EU businesses
If your company is registered for VAT in an EU member state other than Poland, the delivery is an intra-Community supply exempt from VAT under Art. 138 of Directive 2006/112/EC. You then account for VAT in your own country under the reverse-charge mechanism. For this we need your VAT ID before the invoice is issued. We check it in the European Commission's VIES system; the number must be active for intra-Community transactions on the date of the check. The invoice shows both VAT IDs and a reference to the exemption.
If the number cannot be confirmed in VIES, we have to charge Polish VAT. Please let us know straight away if your VAT details change.
United Kingdom and Switzerland
Deliveries to Great Britain and Switzerland are exports from the EU, so Polish VAT is not charged once the export is documented. In the destination country, import VAT and any customs duties are payable, usually by the importer. Who handles customs clearance and these charges is stated in your offer. VAT rules for goods sent to Northern Ireland differ from those for Great Britain; tell us if your delivery address is there and we will confirm the treatment.
What we need for the invoice
- full legal name and address of your company;
- VAT ID, if you have one;
- a purchase order number or reference, if your accounts department requires one;
- the email address to which the invoice should be sent.
Invoices are issued in euros and sent electronically. Customers in Poland receive invoices in the form required by Polish law. Payment options are explained on the payment methods page, and delivery on shipping across Europe.
This page gives a general overview and is not tax advice; the treatment of your specific order is confirmed in the offer.
